Kathy Reid is an inter-disciplinary practitioner whose work sits at the intersection of data, emerging technologies and the communities impacting, and impacted by them. She has worked across higher education, voice technology startups and speech data at organisations such as NVIDIA, Mycroft.AI and Mozilla Foundation.
Her PhD, undertaken at the Australian National University’s School of Cybernetics, focuses on dataset documentation as a leverage point for speech technology that works better for more people.
